The Commercial Landlords Accreditation Scheme is a self-regulatory scheme that promotes good practice in the commercial property industry.

Landlords that agree to abide by the Leasing Business Premises: Landlord Code 2007 - a government-backed code that sets out good practice -and sign up to four other simple scheme rules, are able to apply to become scheme landlords. On being accepted into the scheme, they can publicise themselves as being members and display the scheme Standard Mark on their stationery, site boards, adverts and websites.

Prospective occupiers are able to take comfort from scheme members' commitment to follow the Landlord Code and other scheme rules, and the independent complaints mechanism the scheme operates.
